Bromine Water Care

Bromine Water Care

Start Up

  1. With Blue Water Technologies pre-fill filter on your hose, fill spa to fill level.
  2. If you are on a well, with spa running, add 16oz MHT Metal Gone.
  3. With spa running, add 2oz MHT Stain and Scale or Unique.
  4. With spa running, add granular bromine. Per bottle instruction
  5. Fill Bromine Floater with Bromine Tabs and put in spa water.
  6. Test water for Alkalinity, pH, and hardness.
  7. Always adjust Alkalinity before Ph. If alkalinity is high, use MHT Alkalinity and Ph Decreaser in 2 - 4oz increments immediately and every couple of hours while the spa is heating until alkalinity is slightly on the high side of ideal.
  8. Shut the cover and let the spa get to desired temperature, 96 to 104 degrees.
  9. When at desired temperature test the water again for alkalinity, pH and bromine. With the spa running, add necessary balancers at this time and ¼ oz of Spa Essentials Bromine Concentrate per 100 gallons. Leave the cover open for 10 minutes, or just jump in and enjoy!

Weekly

  1. Test spa water twice per week and or before use. Add necessary chemicals.
  2. Add 2 oz MHT Stain and Scale or Unique.
  3. Add 2 oz MHT Spa Shock with the cover open and run spa for 20-30 minutes.
  4. If alkalinity is low, adjust with MHT Alkalinity Increaser to maintain ideal. Always adjust alkalinity before pH. If alkalinity is high, use MHT Alkalinity/Ph down.
  5. Once alkalinity has reach the ideal level, adjust the pH if necessary with MHT Ph Up or MHT PH Down.
  6. Use MHT Natural Water Clarifier per water conditions.

Routinely

  1. Rinse your filters out once every two weeks or so based on bather load. Clean your filters thoroughly with MHT Filter Cleaner.
  2. Drain and refill your spa every 3 – 4 months.
  3. After heavy bather loads, test for bromine level and adjust with bromine concentrate. Add 2 oz MHT Shock, leaving the cover open and spa running for 20 – 30 minutes.
